I have decided that starting yesterday, we are becoming more "outdoorsy". There is nothing that bothers me more, than staying inside all day. I hate it. So, since we now live in the beautiful state of New York, where the people here are active, and outside either running, walking or biking all day, I decided we need to join them.
Growing up, my mom made us, yes, MADE us (my family) go hiking with her, I used to hate it, and pretty much complained the whole entire time.. however now that I am older (and a little wiser) I am starting to like it. No, I don't like the bug bites, the bears, or the potential of poison ivy, but the exercise is great. It makes my heart happy to get out of the house and do something. And so you ask "What are you doing this weekend Bowman Family?" (see, I knew you were interested) to that I say "we will be hiking sawyer mtn. in blue mt lake ny!" It's a 2.5 mile round trip hike, so not too bad with a baby, and we can take turns carrying her in the backpack. We are also in the market for a bike seat for Fae, I really am not a fan of the bike cart, its super annoying, and in New York anyone on a bike MUST wear a helmet so it just gets to be too much. There will be pictures of our Out Doors adventures to come.

And so, a post...
I don't have any pictures at the moment, and probably wont have any for a while.. number one because I'm lazy, and number two because our camera is fussy, and only turns on when it wants to. So, anyway, this is what we have been up to:
First week of august we (yes, all three of us) flew over to Spokane WA, where we picked up our cute little silver car (that we had left there... about 3 months prior-- when we went there to visit Josh and Lindsay in April) We then made the 8 hour (I don't recommend this) drive down to Idaho Falls ID to visit with Jarom's family. Everyone was there, minus Requel and Eric, who we saw later that week when we drove down to Lava Hot Springs for our annual family "reunion". or "Get together" I duno, pick one and go with it. We were there from Thursday to Sunday, during which we went on walks, ate awesome food, swam in the giant pool, and floated down the little river. Also, Fae got extremely sick, and because her insurance is based in NY, the only place we were able to take her was the emergency room, so on Saturday night around 11:00 pm we decided that we were going to do that, so drove back to Idaho Falls, spent the night, and took her in the morning. Turns out she had Strep throat and an upper respiratory infection. So, I was glad we took her. She was pretty much miserable for the rest of the trip... which made me mad cuz no one got to see how happy and sweet she normally is. Oh well! Then the following Wednesday we left Idaho Falls, and started our huge drive across the country. Our destinations went as follows: 1)Laramie WY 2) Iowa City IA 3) Cleveland OH 4) Schenectady NY. It was a very long trip, with very long hours, but the good side to Fae being sick was that she slept.. a LOT. Which in turn helped her recover, and she is now fully back to normal. I sincerely hope we never have to make that trip again... it wasn't very fun, and there is literally nothing to see through Wyoming, and Nebraska and much of Iowa... earlier this summer we drove up the east coast from Florida to NY, and that was MUCH prettier and was more fun.
So, that gets us caught up to the present. We have officially moved into our new place, which is VERY cute I must say, although the bathroom looks like it time traveled from the 60's, and even though they replaced all the carpet and linoleum, and painted (not to mention the brand new appliances in the kitchen we so luckily received), it still has a faint smell of cigarette smoke. I am sorry, but I hate that smell, I think it is the nastiest habit, and the grossest smell. And for the record, I don't think anyone should EVER be able to smoke in other people's property.. apartments included, they are not yours to ruin. Sorry if I've offended any smokers out there, but seriously, get hip, it's gross.
MOVING ON, I love the kitchen, and the huge living room and the two huge bedrooms, all our stuff fits perfectly!! We also got a great deal on internet and cable, so now we have TV (Which we literally have not watched since April).
So that is that, I will try to update with some pictures from our journey if I ever find the time to do so. Jarom and I are BOTH starting school in the fall, so this blog is about to take a long hiatus. bye bye for now!
