Anyway, Fae isn't a huge fan of the heat, she gets very tired and despite all my efforts, she doesn't like to drink water. So, needless to say we spend about 2 hrs a day outside, swimming, and the rest of the day indoors... either at the store or at home.. wherever.
Jarom has been able to come home for lunch a little more too so it's nice not to have to get us all up early to take him so I can have the car for the day.
Okay, so on to the 4th. During the day we all hung out, swam, played and watched a movie, and around 8:50 pm we headed out to the Durham fireworks. There were tons of activities to do during the day but unfortunately none of them were free, bummer. We could have spent the $18 to go into the little "eno river festival" but decided Fae would probably be just as happy swimming, and since it was so hot we would too. (We have gotten boring lately haha just joking, we are the *funnest* people ever).
The fire works started around 9:15 and as soon as the first one went off our little one was crying to go home. "go ommm" she seriously hated it! We had experienced her dislike of the fireworks 2 times before but we thought that maybe since she is a little older she would like them. We were wrong. She cried and whined and wanted to be held, while holding her blankie.. did I tell you it was like 104 degrees that night... NIGHT! so yeah it was hot holding her, and her blankie. So we made her stay for a little bit (like 10 min)- yes we are mean parents haha. And then we made the trek back to find our car.
Oh, and P.S our camera doesn't take good pics if it's dark out.. we really need to invest in a new one, this one is great in the day if you are holding still, but since Fae is Fae, I need like a sports action camera haha.
Fae being a scaredy-baby :) I just love her so much!
I think your pics look great. She is so cute, she is so full of personality! Looks like you had a fun 4th. We miss you guys so much! Love you! The countdown is on for me! I can not wait to see you!
