being a mom is hard.

My little girl can be the sweetest baby in the whole world, she will look at you with her big blue eyes and you just melt, however she can also be the biggest BEAST you've ever known! Some nights she will just cry and scream for hours, 6 hours or so to be more exact. The second night she did this I took her to the doctor because I thought maybe she had an ear infection or something, but no, the doctor told me " It's just one of those things, shes a little gassy but she is just a fussy baby, don't worry it will go away around 3 to 4 months." 3 to 4 MONTHS! was he insane, seriously I got like 1 hour of sleep that night and I wasn't prepared to do it again! But it happened again, and then again.. finally I tried something new. I stopped eating dairy, no milk, cheese, eggs, nothing. It's been so hard, but it has helped SO much, she no longer screams or cries all frantic like, just fusses sometimes but for the most part she is great! Of course she cries like any normal baby just not like she used to. This brings me to my next problem, she takes about 2 hours to nurse, she continually falls asleep so I am having to wake her up every 5 min, and not only that she doesn't get enough milk! I don't know if it's me or her, but I pump and pump to try to stimulate more milk but I never get any more.. so today we tried formula. It's a special formula for sensitive babies.. Lactose free :) we gave it to her at 4:30 this morning then again at 8! She hasn't complained, and by that I mean no crying, gas, or fussiness.. just a happy healthy baby! I am still planning to give her breast milk at night.. so I'm pumping when I have time during the day.. hopefully this system works out because I can't take many more nights of a screaming baby!

haha, she thinks the bath tub is her personal spa... she seriously lays like this the whole time like shes in "Awe" of whats going on.. and jarom likes to take baths with her.. don't worry I make him wear his bathing suit..

  1. I am sorry that she was so fussy in the beginning Erica! Nursing is SUPER frustrating...Addie wouldn't do it until she was a couple of months old, and I HATED pumping. It's the worst. I love the picture of her though...she is so sweet!
