Christmas

This year, Jarom and I decided not to put up a Christmas tree, and I am so happy about it! I hate Christmas trees! I don't know what it is about them , but I think they are messy, and ugly, even if you have all the pretty decorations and what not, it's still a big awkward tree in your house. Anyway, so I put up other decorations, but not a whole lot.

On Christmas eve, we went over to Jarom's parents house and hung out with his family, here are some pictures:

This is Jarom's dad and our niece Aaliyah

This was supposed to be Rachel and I, but Jordy got all up in the mix...

Ok, this is Rachel and Jordan

I think this is Jarom opening some presents!

Aw! Jarom, me, and Lucy!
Grandma Z!
Lindsay!
Josh!

Ha ha, ok, well that really end it, except for this one last thing:

This is what jarom and I got from Santa this year:

Erica: New bed spread, new red sheets, a tempur-pedic pillow (which is amazing), and a few new shirts and belts and such and a Lady Ga Ga CD.

Jarom: A new suit, (which is hot) and some other clothes.

We both got: A digital touch screen camera, (courtesy Robyn) A movie, and some card games!

Money, (Courtesy my mother, THANKS!) and

A BUNCH OF CARDS! :)

So, merry Christmas!! oh and here is a pic of the new bed stuff

Updates:

Sad Sad News, I wish I had a happy update..

Dec. 3, 2009 Tyson Egbert Passed away.

Tyson has been such a great friend to Jarom and I, of course, Jarom more than me, but I've gotten to know him over the past couple years and he will truly be missed.

Tyson was so funny, always willing to lighten the mood with a joke. He took the gospel seriously and offered his testimony at any chance. He was such a great example to us, and Jarom looked up to him so much. We miss him like crazy but we know someday we will meet again... We love you Tyson

Paul Mitchell

Ok, So many of you know how long I've wanted to attend the hair academy, probably since I was like 5, but anyway, recently I've just been sitting in my classes uo at BYU-I and hating life! I don't like the school, I don't like the teachers, and I especially don't like the way they some how find scriptural lessons.references to incorporate into my MATH class. Anyway, I have been talking to Jarom a little bit lately about me starting the hair school, and today I had a meeting with the financial aid "lady" here us what I found out: First off, the school tuition is $14,300. Crazy, I know. But, it gets a little better. Because we are so poor, we quallify for pell grants and loans. Jarom will not want to take out loans, I know that but sometimes you hav to bite the bullet to do something you love. The question here is, should I do it?
Pros:
I will be doing something I am actually interested in,
The beauty industry is ALWAYS changing, and I'm a big fan of change.
I LOVE to do hair, I love to change my own hair, I love a spa atmosphere
I really think I have a natural ability
I am interested in the hari part, the nails, and aesthetics
I wont have to sit through another boring lecture in a classroom.
I can't see myself confined to an office working some boring desk job especially when I Want to have a family.
Oh, I can have a "salon" in my home!
They have some business classes, so I can open up my own spa someday
and hello, I will have a cosmo lisence so I can shop at those special stores and get discounts haha!

Cons:
The Money
Jarom may have to stay here for his internship
We will be in Idaho longer than I wanted to be here.
Loans.. Loans.. Loans.. ah!

This could be ME!

THANK YOU

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to some people that have come to our house recently. \I have gotten more compliments on the cleanliness of my house in the past week than I have EVER gotten from Jarom. It's nice to know that people notice the tireless hours I put in cleaning it.
Thank you.

Side Note:

mmm...

Today I felt ambitious, so I made a chicken pot pie, I've never done this before, but I thought what the heck, my friend Whitney (who lives upstairs.. who Jarom complains that I'd rather be over there with her than with him haha) gave me the recipe and it came out delicious! so thanks Whitney!

New York, New York!

When we first got to my parents house, my mom wanted to take us on a "quick hike", I'm not sure what it was called, Lishakill I think, so anyway, this is Jarom and I near a small river in the woods. Anyway, unfortuantely we only got this one shot, but later that week we went to a family reunion at my cousins' John and Toni's house.

ME n my MOM

Then later still, we attended my friend Hannah's wedding, she looked amazing! and so did her hubby! so here is one of Hannah and nick, and Jarom Scarfing down some chicken wings, and me and my dad doing a "daddy-daughter dance" --
Seriously, this was so funny, We got to Hanna's reception a little late (we were lost), and so they were going to put the food away-- we were all hungry but JArom went and seriosuly got like an entire heaping plate of food. he comes back and he's like "hey guys, I got some for everyone." haha he's so cute, hes the best husband in the whole world.. thanks for looking out for us Jar! This is my dad and I dancing together.. aww how cute.

Alright, then the next week we went up to the Lake house, here are some wildlife pics: (Fortunately we didn't see any bears this time)

Just Deer
And Water, and Mountains.. This is our lake: Blue Mountain Lake.

K We also went hiking.. I went on ONE hike, and it was the worst. haha

Jarom climbed up on some rocks and took a picture of my mom and I hiding from the rain This is Jarom overtaking the world.

And this is Jarom "surviving" the rain storm that came upon us during this hike.

This is us nearing the Top.. the one of Jarom overtaking the wrold is the view at the top.. it was foggy.

Here are some pictures of Jarom, me and my family!
