Happy Halloween... and some other stuff

The weather has been pretty nice lately, so my mom has been taking Fae on walks with her in the morning, I went once, but usually when they go, I go back to sleep, or take a shower... however, this is a picture of little Fae loving her stroller, and being outside :)

We walked around the green belt... because my mom insisted on seeing the Temple.. it was actually freezing that day.. and since it was Saturday, we hit up the farmers market first but we didn't get anything.

Jarom and my mom sitting on the horse bench, I swear it's new, I've never seen it before.

Me and my mother :) I'm so sad she is leaving tomorrow, I don't know what I am going to do with out her, it's been so awesome for her to be here, and so unfair that she doesn't live close. I'm going to miss her so much :(

On Friday night my mom watched Fae so we could go to a Masquerade Party at JArom's brother's house. It was so fun, and I'm glad we went, even if my motherly instincts missed little Fae... I wasn't too worried though cuz I know how much my mom loves her!

Jarom and I got all "dressed up" for the party, this is us looking our parts: (I was supposed to be an astronaut genious who thinks she knows everthing, and Jarom was supposed to be a radio disc jockey... neither one of us were the murderers, so that's good haha, although I kinda wished I was)

THEN (this post is out of order) we went to the park and took pictures of Fae because I got her a pumpkin onsie and it was funny.. she looked like a little boy, but we still think shes the cutest!!!!!!

Furthermore, my grandma and grandpa Selin came to Idaho! they actually came!!! so we got to go out to lunch with them.. it was soo good, we went to Famous Daves.

Me and grandma :)

These two are just cute hehe We just can't stand how cute our little girlie is, we love her so much! (Even when she cries for 2 hours straight at 3 in the morning)

Things We have been up to:

Ok, here are some real updates:

First of all, my mom is here! I love my mom, I haven't seen her in over a year until she came on the 14th! Fae was due on the 14th and since first babies (well all babies) are unpredictable, we decided that coming on the due date was the safest bet. However, exactly one week early (on my mom's birthday no less) little Fae decided to grace us with her presence! I was soooo happy that she decided to come early, I felt like a beached whale. I thought about telling the birth story here on my blog but, I think I don't really want to talk about it, most people know what happens in a birth, so lets just leave it at that.. I've been hearing way too much about effacement, dilation, bloody show etc that I don't want to write any more about it. So, to continue on, we spent the first week on our own, I wasn't as nervous as I though I'd be, but I was a little bit more emotional than normal and cried for like 2 hours when they told me little Fae had jaundice, which is totally a normal thing for infants to have. And then I cried again when the jaundice got worse and she had to be on a biliblanket. But she only had to be on the blanket for 3 days and she actually liked it, it kept her super warm and it was nice to be able to sleep for a little bit longer.

Anyway, as soon as that was all cleared up I was able to work more on nursing, and I think we have it down pretty good now. I know, most of you are probably thinking "she said she didn't even want to TRY to nurse" this is true, but I didn't like the way the bottles smelled and I felt like they gave her a stomach ache, so I decided to try to nurse and I love it! However, I don't think I'll be in it for the long haul... 6 months max I think.

I'm sure I should write more, but I'd rather just put up some pictures:

My mom and little Fae Princess

Peaceful one minute...

beastly the next!! ahh shes so cute we love her :)

Her first bathy at home.. she liked it until we took her out and she got cold, one thing this girl hates, is to be cold. It's like I don't like being cold either but I don't freak out like she does haha... shes so cool.

haha, she look pretty unsure of what to do right now..

Oh geeze, my face is still fat, that's OK its only been 2 weeks.. give me a break! haha but this little girl is totally a Mommy's girl and I love it! (for now) haha

But, she TOTALLY loves her daddy... haha they just like to hang out together after long hard days of eating, sleeping and pooping.. well in Fae's case that is...

photo shoot

Hello!!! It's been a little bit since I posted last, so I thought I would go ahead and post some pictures!

Today we went to Fae's 2 week check up, and the doctor said she looks great! She weighs 6 lbs and 14 oz! which is a lot considering when she was born she was 6.6 and then went down to 6.1! Shes a pretty big eater and when shes hungry she gets so frantic, like she will never eat again! It's actually pretty cute, well pretty much everything she does is cute :) We love our little girl so much she is such a joy to have in our home!

There are a bunch more pictures, but I don't want to spoil the surprise of my baby announcements!!

My little Fae...

Aw, don't mind me, my face is fat and I had been laboring for over 20 hours.. so maybe I don't look all that hott haha.. but here's my girlie!! Shes the best!!

love at first sight :)

She was 6.6 lbs and 19 inches long! I know that's small, but that was inside me, and it seems HUGE!!

We love her SO much!

I'm not going to go into any details of the birthing process, however if you are interested, you can google it haha. But, it went perfectly for us and I am so happy we have our little Fae here with us! She is such a joy! It is absolute heaven when she is awake and stares at you with her huge blue eyes, or when she holds onto your finger with her teeny tiny hand. We just can't get enough of her, and even though she mostly sleeps, we can't stop giving her kisses and hugs and picking her up just to smell that sweet baby smell. She is absolutely perfect!

one thing I can NOT stand

... are people who simply are not charitable. Now granted, at times I can be selfish, rude even, but I never go out of my way to be uncharitable. Lately I have witnessed way too many people being self- centered, rude and unwilling to help anyone but themselves. I'm sick of it! At first my initial reaction was to never ever do anything nice for these certain people, but that's the 18 year old in me.. so, my next approach was this:

For FHE, Jarom and I decided we will make a more conscious effort to be more Christ-like and giving. "Kill them with kindness" right? Anyway, I would seriously challenge everyone to be more charitable and willing to help out when others are in need.

Fine, I'll update one more time

So, things have been pretty boring here at the Bowman house lately, we are just anxiously awaiting our little Fae. I think it's mostly me that wants her out so bad! I can't sleep normal, sit normal, shower normal, or even see my feet and all I want to do is eat! Throughout my whole pregnancy, I've been pretty good about staying on top of my weight and exercising, but this past week or so I have been indulging in all my desires... not good. Luckily though, Jarom and I have been making the steep walk to the temple at least 5 times a week trying to move things along.. so I don't feel as bad for eating an entire sponge cake myself ha ha.
Anyway, I have noticed a few things that are note-worthy:
#1 every morning around 7 little Fae thinks she is starving and frantically kicks and squirms until I get up and eat something. At this point she is then calm and I can go back to bed for another half hour or so.
#2 When I lay down, she wakes up. I don't mind it that much during the day, and since I've been SO tired lately, laying down has been a common occurrence, so I feel her all the time.
#3 She loves to be in my rib cage, this is only true when I get up from a laying position, eventually she goes back down, but it's really driving me crazy and causing me to have acid reflux.. fun, fun.

Ok, I know those things all sound like complaints, and I could swear right now that as soon as she comes out I'm going to tell her how miserable I've been!! But lets be honest when I see her sweet face and hold her little-ness, I will just be so happy I will forget everything... hopefully haha. Anyway, here are a few pictures the first two are of how fat and swollen my hands get throughout the day compared to how they normally look. The second, and DON'T JUDGE ME, we just came back from a walk in the park, is of me at a full 9 months pregnant!! Definitely not as cute as like 7 and 8 months.

Ok, well I cropped my face out because I wasn't wearing any makeup and I just felt embarressed so leave me alone! My belly is huge though and thats what everyone cares about anyway, you all know what I look like.
